Personal Notes: Maceo Pinkard was a founding blues master in the early '20s and one of my favorite composers. This songs rhythm mimics the hilarious lyric and gives you room to improvise on the rhythmical theme. It's great fun to play, and the catchy tune and easy chords make it an easy song to memorize.
About the Collection
For over 33 years I have amassed a personal collection of over 5000 music sheets, plus 3000 digital files. The archive contains a lot of early piano blues and is diverse with many other styles.
When playing through so many sheets, I sometimes stumble across a melody or an arrangement that blows me away the first time I play it. Pure joy, those are the songs I want to share with you.
